In WET you will have to deal with deceivers, killers, liars. Your mission is to exterminate them all. Now, I know that the game is 6 good years old, but this doesn’t make obsolete at all. It still is a good game that must be tried out by all the Xbox 360 owners and action games lovers. And because I don’t wanna spoil the mystery of the game for those who have never tried it, I will present its plot in big lines.
You will take on the role of Rubi Malone, a bounty hunter and general mercenary, shortly said “a problem-solver”. She is hired to solve different missions, having to deal with dangerous wicked people. Her strength and signature is to leave numerous dead people wherever she goes, accomplishing her tasks in detail. Her talents is recognized by a powerful man, William Ackers who hires her to bring his son back from Hong Kong, whom Mr. Ackers believes has joined a bad crowd. Rubi gets on the plane to Hong Kong, and after struggling to kidnap his son, Rubi delivers him to his father in London. But the game plot twists when Rubi learns that “William Ackers” who hired her is acctually an imposter and the real Ackers’s rival. The wicked character’s bodyguards kill Ackers’s son and stab Rubi. She recovers and starts to track down the liar and his gang.
The game’s title comes from the euphemism ‘wet work’ which means a job that covers someone’s hands with blood. The 2009 third-person shooter action video game was developed by Artificial Mind and Movement, published by Bethesda Softworks for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game consoles.
Wet receives mixed reviews upon its release with Extreme Gamer offering it a score of 8.0 out of ten and commenting “WET is an acquired taste, and while some gamers will love to splash around in this offbeat amusement of campy action, others will simply shake their heads.”
