As expressed in one previous article and exhibited by most (if not all) Cartoon Network commercials, the cute & brawny crime fighters, Bubbles, Buttercup and Blossom are back in business, courtesy to the numerous requests and pleas of fans worldwide. The sweet, buff and clever girls of Townsville who ‘must save the day before bedtime’ will be voiced by an all-new cast, comprised of Kristen Li, Amanda Leighton and Natalie Palamides.
The highly anticipated cartoon will premiere on CN Monday, April 4 at 6 p.m. with two brand-new episodes depicting the ‘revamped’ little girls (still affected by the accidental ingredient; the Chemical X).
Shown below is the opening theme of the show, performed by the surf-pop band Tacocat, which proved to be rather entertaining, matched up with the improvised, yet highly comical and vibrantly animated characteristics.
Faithful fans and newcomers alike (in the fascinating world of Townsville) are left pondering upon the question ‘Who’s Got the Power?’ as Professor Utonium’s clumsy experience echoes through time immemorial.
Whichever the case, the hype is enormous and well-deserved by the creators behind the Powerpuff Girls revival, who strongly support and loyally chose to follow, yet reshape Craig McCracken’s genius idea.
